BHP headed to Palmetto only 4 days after losing to Seneca. Everything was shaping up for BHP to lose to their rival, but BHP showed why this matchup is far from an even rivalry.

BHP showed up with the most energy they had all season and it showed both on the sidelines and on the field. It was a clear domination from start to finish and by midway through the 3rd quarter, the game was set on a running clock. For how this season had gone, it was great to feel like normal and normal is BHP beating Palmetto.

With the shortened season BHP only scheduled 7 games, but because of cancellations, BHP’s schedule shrank to 5. However, earlier last week BHP was able to add a 6th opponent. And with that, BHP gets to take the field once more this season against the Emerald Vikings.

Week 8 Preview

The Emerald Vikings will travel to BHP for the final game for both teams. BHP will look to get to a 3-3 record while Emerald is looking for their 3rd win in 8 games. Neither team will be going to the playoffs so both teams should be leaving nothing in the reserves.

BHP has played Emerald 4 times previously, all were won by the Bears. This matchup has produced some terrific individual performances as well. In 2016 BHP had 3 rushes with over 100 yards rushing (O’ryan Warren - 156, Kameron Burton - 120, and Breeland Sampson - 115). Along with those, Kameron Burton also passed for 194 yards and accounted for 5 total TDs. In the 2016 game, BHP gained 588 total yards which was the 4th most in the last 6 seasons.
